Work has started to convert the newly delivered containers into extra storage and work space. All work is being carried out by Men's Shed members.

Storage containers delivered

Shepton Men's Shed re-opened on 7th July 2020. However, given the majority age profile of our membership certain operating conditions will apply. It has been necessary to restrict the number of members attending to 6 per session. Each session will last for 3 hours and all work will be carried out outside of the building (weather permitting) in designated areas more than 2 metres apart to comply with social distancing. Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) will be provided and worn at all times.

Our 2 metal storage containers were delivered last week. It was fascinating to watch the expertise of the driver hoisting each one carefully into position. We are very grateful to Ken for making all the arrangements and ordering the various ancillary parts.

Happy New Year
Evercreech Acorns Den

The Directors, Committee and Members of Shepton Men's Shed wish you all a Happy and Prosperous New Year.

One of our first requests for the new year was to construct a Den for the Acorns Pre School at Evercreech. It was constructed to the Acorn's unique design using wooden pallets. "Thanks to Ken and the wonderful Shepton Mallet Men's Shed we have an amazing new den for the children. Assembled in the sleet this morning! The children love it, although come the summer I may just commandeer it to hide away with a cup of tea....."
